Who is the host?

Jennifer and Elly live in Alamos at El Pedregal and, along with the wonderful hotel staff, we will be your hosts. Salina (and Belinda!) live in Oregon, supporting the experiences from a far.

How do I get from the airport to the hotel?

We will pre-arrange airport transfers for an additional cost. Our drivers are all very responsible and you will be in good hands for the 1.5 hour drive from the Ciudad Obregon airport to Álamos.

How does accommodation work? What are the rooms like and what is the bedding configuration?

At El Pedregal, we have 8 casitas. Rustic while elegant, the casitas are spaces that lend themselves to tranquility and comfort. Three of them have two queen beds, five of them have king beds. The room amenities include: Imported high-quality beds and fine linens, air conditioning and ceiling fans, fiber optic wifi, purified water, soap, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, mini refrigerator, hot water kettle, tea and coffee. Check out El Pedregal’s website to get a view of the place. www.elpedregalmexico.com/en/home

What size will the group be for the experiences?

Our groups range in size from 10-16 people. Sometimes local Alamos residents will sign up for the experiences and stay at their house. We limit that number to 6.

Who are ALAMANOS trips for?

Everyone over 18, unless we are planning a custom family trip together. Women, men, couples, friends, and singles. Anyone with an adventurous spirit and a curiosity for Mexico. People from all walks of life with an appreciation for rustic charm and who want to indulge in cultural exploration.

Do I have to be physically fit to come?

El Pedregal is situated on several acres and buildings are connected by pathways, dirt roads and patios. It’s helpful to be able to walk easily and go up and down steps with ease.

For our Crafts, Cuisine + Culture and Flora + Fauna experiences, your fitness level isn’t entirely important yet you may derive a bit more pleasure if you are able to walk easily.

For our Wellness experiences, the purpose is to encourage health and wellbeing. The yoga classes are geared towards all levels. The hiking can vary according to your level of fitness.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

The town of Álamos has a diverse gastronomy, with a heavy use of meat, dairy and corn. The ingredients we serve will depend on seasonal availability and will vary for every experience.

If you have any dietary restrictions or follow a preferred diet and still want to attend, we encourage you to contact us in advance to discuss available options. We can create an alternative menu for you for an additional charge.

Are laundry services available?

The hotel offers laundry service for an additional fee.

How can I pay for incidentals?

For extra services offered, such as massages, laundry, refreshments, etc, they can be paid for at the hotel in cash or with a credit card. For crafts and shopping, we recommend that you have pesos. There is an ATM in town and it gives a favorable rate. We will make a point of stopping there at the start of the trip.

Are gratuities included in the price?

Gratuities for El Pedregal hotel staff are not included in the price. They are greatly appreciated and the suggested amount per attendee is $75-$100. Tips for establishments outside of El Pedregal are included.

Are cancellations or refunds accepted?

Please refer to our Cancellation Policy to understand upfront what our terms and conditions are.
