Our story

On the roof of our first home in Álamos with our BFF Liduvina

Three generations with deep roots in Alamos

Jennifer, Salina and Elly have called this little town at the end of the road home since 1994. We moved here when Elly was just learning English at 2 years old and Salina was the big sister showing her the ropes at the wise age of 4. As a little family with pelos de elote (corn hairs) we made friends easily in this sweet community.
Going through the Mexican public school system with Jen at the head of the PTA for years on end deepened our connections and friendships.

Having a small hotel and cafe in the historical center of town brought many people to our doorstep and was our beginning of creating experiences for others. This path continued as we created our hotel and retreat center, El Pedregal, as well as Parque La Colorada, both adding richness to our lives, our community and our guests.

Through warm welcomes, beautiful settings, home cooked meals and thoughtfully organized outings, we’ve all contributed in our unique ways. Jennifer has always worked in hospitality, Salina and Elly grew up in it, and now Salina’s daughter Belinda is joining in on the fun.

A series of life transformations inspired us to birth ALAMANOS as a new way to make a living, founded with our values at the center of everything we do. We love our hometown, we love sharing it with others and we love supporting our Alamos community. Here’s to creating new connections through ALAMANOS goods and experiences!
